Mars Gives M&M's a Makeover

Mars Gives M&M's a Makeover

Hoping to jump on the premium chocolate bandwagon, Mars has launched a brand-new line of M&M's candies called M&M's Premium. These newfangled M&M's are made from an entirely different chocolate recipe and have no candy shell. The chocolates are significantly larger in size and more irregular in shape than milk chocolate M&M's, and are filled on the inside with various flavorings that include white chocolate and mint. The M&M's are coated with a speckled metallic skin that corresponds to one of five flavors: mint chocolate, mocha, triple chocolate, raspberry almond and chocolate almond.

The new M&M's are in stores now, and are sold in a 6-ounce, upright package for $3.99. Have you tried any of the new flavors yet?

I think they are too expensive. They are just M&M's.

hmm that sounds kind of interesting actually. i spent the day in Hershey Park and at the Hershey chocolate factory and i was thinking about how they don't really compete at all with M&Ms but i guess you can't really. i might have to find a bag of the new kind though!

I tried the mint ones and really enjoyed them. They're a bit pricey to eat often, but a good treat.

The triple chocolate were really good. But I didn't buy them, and I wouldn't for that price. It bugged me that the package said milk, white, and dark chocolate, but the ingredients list said milk, white and semi-sweet chocolate.

I agree with jettagirl @ $4 that seems a bit pricey

The mocha ones are tasty, as are the mint ones. The raspberry almond flavor is a little sickly. I've never had the peanut or the triple chocolate. I mean, they're good, but they're not amazing. Definitely not worth the price: go buy some actual chocolate.

I love peanut butter M&M's. So I'd be willing to try something different.

I saw these in the store and was going to buy them, but when I saw that they were artificially flavored I put them back. Premium and artificially flavored don't go together in my book.

any by that I mean I won't be trying them. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to M&M's.
