Medical Marijuana Soft Drink Canna Cola Hopes to Become a Hit

Medical Marijuana Soft Drink Hopes to Become a Hit

First there were sit-down marijuana restaurants, and now there's this: Canna Cola, a line of soft drinks laced with medical marijuana.

Commercial artist and Canna Cola entrepreneur Clay Butler has created a cola drink that contains the psychoactive marijuana ingredient THC; $10 to $15 will get drinkers a 12-ounce bottle. In addition, he's producing Doc Weed, a spin on Dr Pepper; Sour Diesel, a lemon-lime flavor; and Orange Kush, his version of the citrus drink.

I'm interested in seeing how well Canna Cola takes off. Do you think these drinks will reach an all-time high?

Yes anon 17, cramps, migraines, and stomach ache. Let's Legalize it OHIO!!! Though I do agree that the legalization movement is only hurting itself with corny products like this. I tried the peanut butter once, young naive me I piled it on and made a PBJ... and got tore up. I would definitely read the 'recommended dose' instructions before trying a product like this in the future! I don't smoke that often and I don't like being completely stoned like that. I don't drink soda much anyway, so this is something I would only try as a novelty. For some reason I don't think encouraging people to drink soda is good medical advice...

Well as A Crohn's patient for 13 years, that is past all normal drugs and onto anything experimental, I'd give it a shot my doctors say it could help me gain the weight back (munchies) and calm my intestines to stop the PAIN. So yes it does help with pain in some cases. Not all but, some.

It's my understanding they are not sold to the general public, you gotta buy them at the Cannabis Clubs with a prescription. Capitalism at it's best.

I've had them before. Yes they get you high. You don't really taste the marijuana (at least the flavor I had) and you don't want to. After a while that taste is overwhelming. They are actually really good, and a much much better alternative to smoking. No carbon!!!

I'll pass. Just looks like deadly food coloring and sugar to me. Besides I've no need for medical Marijuana, and can think of better things to do with my body.

This looks just the the packaging my prescription medications come in! The "medical" side of the burgeoning marijuana marketing industry is such a joke.

You're right that it's alcohol soluble, but the content is way too low to get any appreciable amount of THC into the soda, or so I would think ...

I just want to know how they got this to WORK. Is there some kind of fat substance in the soda? THC is fat-soluble, not water-soluble - what did they put in that damn soda??
