I haven't tried this recipe but I've made osso bucco before. It cooks for so long and become so tender, you have to tie the meat to the bone before cooking! If you're looking for a fairly easy dish to make that WILL impress, this is it! It can be fairly expensive per shank so make it on a special occasion. I love this dish!

osso bucco is my favorite braise to make. I just bought four frozen shanks that are sitting in the freezer... by the way, for me, orange zest is a key component. What I'd like to figure out is how to get the fat out of it, cause this is one fatty dish the way i make it.

Celebrity soup - I had that problem yesterday with the double posts! My first one kept not showing up! As for myself - not a big veal fan anymore. Just the flavor. But the other things with it in this sound delicious!

Not to be a downer, but I'm not even a vegetarian and I will not eat veal. Do you know the raising/preparation process for veal? Very sad...

ooooo my mom made this for easter! she makes it sooooo good, the meat is full of flavour. She always makes it in a big clap pot.
