Inside Wine and Spirits Top 100 Tasting

Last Wednesday I attended one of my favorite events of the year, Wine and Spirits Top 100 party. This tasting is great because guests get to sample an assortment of special, hard-to-find, and expensive wines along with some delicious bites from San Francisco's newest top restaurants. From exotic Greek whites to vintage pink Champagne to cult Napa reds, there were three floors of wineries pouring amazing sips!

Glasses lined up for the party goers!

The tasting was hosted at the San Francisco Design Center — oddly enough my high school prom was in the same space.

Baker and Banker was serving a scrumptious heirloom tomato gazpacho with cucumber and lobster relish. It was divine!

How gorgeous do these heirloom tomatoes look?

Another arrangement I had to photograph because it was so simple, yet so stunning!

Two of Veuve Clicquot's wines were featured: the current release pink Rosé and the '98 vintage. Both were exceptional.

Hog and Rocks served a scrumptious smoked fish crostini.

I'm not too familiar with Greek wine varietals, but this white was refreshing and lovely.

Foie gras tacos. Enough said.

A little bit of bread, a little bit of tomato, a little bit of fish, and a lot of heat were the components of this tasty bite.

The gentlemen from Hog Island Oyster Farm said they would be shucking at least a thousand oysters throughout the evening.

Another wonderful sparkling Rosé!

Zoe's meats sliced an assortment of delightful salamis.

All of Ridge's pourings were excellent, but my preferred bottle was the Santa Cruz Mountains Estate.

A delightful red from Portugal.
