It's never even crossed my mind to store alcohol in the freezer. jennjennnbubba 6 years I freeze vodka, jager, aftershock and tequila. lbirk 6 years Vodka, gin, tequila, and limoncello are all in my freezer. MMmmmm. Suddenly I'm thirsty! Modus-Vivendi 6 years Exactly, Deidre. Mixed drinks made in a shaker with ice account for a certain amount of ice melting, and it doesn't happen if your liquor is too cold. I love keeping beers outside when it's cold enough. superfoxml 6 years The only hard liquor I drink is vodka and I do store that in my freezer. KMattes 6 years My tiny apartment-sized freezer space is precious to me! I'm trying to be more frugal by batch cooking and freezing dinners in advance, so there's no room for alcohol in there. Rancher'sGirl 6 years Vodka is the only spirit I store in a freezer, although I like to chill limoncello in the freezer for a while before serving it. Spectra 6 years I've never done it, but I think I'm going to start doing it. I like my drinks very cold, but I generally use ice to chill the vodka. I should totally keep it in the freezer...I have the room for it and it probably gets nice and uber-cold. My husband sometimes throws beer in a cooler of snow in the winter to chill it down fast and that works REALLY well. tyffi 6 years No, I drink it. *lol* Sometimes, I put beer in the freezer, but only in summer, and only when I quickly need it to get cold, because seriously: beer on the rocks is disgusting. :D starangel82 6 years Sometimes. If I'm shooting vodka I like it cold. Some mixed drinks I like it cold better as well. Other times room temperature is just fine. Deidre 6 years Never. I read in several bartending tip guides that you're not supposed to for alcohol that you're using to make mixed drinks. Apparently, a lot of standard recipes that are poured or mixed over ice take in the slight "water down" effect into the amounts poured. That dirty gin martini is supposed to have a slight bit of ice meltage in it. ilanac13 6 years when i was in college i used to and now it really depends. sometimes i do freeze it and other times i put it in the fridge. mamasitamalita 6 years mmm deviousmuse, sounds delicious! Currently there is a bottle of Jäger in there as well. aimeeb 6 years rarely. Frika 6 years i put a much as i have room for in the freezer, starting with my favorites of course tlsgirl 6 years Yep. My parents always put alcohol in the freezer, so I just assumed that was what you were supposed to do. partysugar 6 years I only freeze vodka because I like it extra cold in a martini. Swedeybebe 6 years i freeze it just so my drink stays colder that much longer... familyfitness 6 years We live in Idaho and we host an annual Christmas Open House party, usually about two weeks before Christmas. If it's not snowing that night, it's at least freezing, so we put all of our alcohol for the party on the step to the back porch, very easily accesible from the kitchen. Our martinis (gingerbread, chocolate raspberry cheesecake, etc.) taste even better with the frosty vodka, and I never fully understood what it meant to have an "ice cold beer" until I had one that had been sitting outside for a few hours in the snow. Saves room in the fridge for food, too! shoneyjoe 6 years It's not so much that I prefer to keep my alcohol at room temperature as much as I have limited freezer space and I find it unnecessary. If I had a larger freezer, I might change my mind.
