Sweet potato variety that is :]
I used to love making oven-baked potato and kumara (sweet potato) fries, but since I've been avoiding the nightshade family of foods for health reasons, I've been making carrot and parsnip "fries" instead - just cutting them into square fry shape, rubbing with olive oil, seasoning with salt and pepper, and roasting at 220 degrees celsius for half an hour. Really yummy, actually!
No. I already eat them too much when I'm out. I do make oven baked potato slices, though.
Do the kind from the bag count? I get the fat steak fries ones from Trader Joe's and pop them in the oven. I can make homemade homefries tho! Those are good. :) But whenever I try and make crunchy, skinny fries, they end up burnt. Ew.
Honestly not really. Unless I am preparing my greasy breakfast, which is like once every four months, I don't even eat potatoes.
Baked SWEET POTATOE FRIES RECIPE slice sweet potatoes to desired thickness, coat in egg whites, roll in Rice Krispie crumbs, and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes til golden, Lighly crisply, but warm and soft on the inside YUM

yes... deep fried sweet potatoes are awesome!
Trader Joe's sells bags of pre-cut, fry shaped sweet potato spears...it's practically fail proof! Just use some olive oil as tamint says and season to taste! :p
Yes! Oh! Home-made fries are the bomb!
I have only ever done oven fries. I'm too chicken to try making deep-fried ones.
only baked with olive oil using sweet potatos..i use a receipe i saw from fit,yum :)
So far, no luck with the fries. They either become chips or just plain burned. :\
Only the baked kind, topped with herbs and olive oil...and don't require ketchup
i can't seem to get the sweet potato ones down but i'm determined!
ALWAYS! They are so much healthier, taste better, and they are so easy to make. I always use olive oil, and they are the yummiest when spices and hot peppers are added!
