I try to if I am traveling for any period of time in an area. My favorite was a single class in NOLA 10 months after Katrina while I was there for a conference.

My mom and sister are excellent cookers and bakers. Unfortunately this means that I cannot cook, but I would like to learn.

I've always wanted to take a couples cooking class, just because my boy and I love to cook together. Though we're both pretty good cooks, so it's not like we really need a class to teach us basic cooking, I just think it would be fun. :)

Oh, and that piping bag that the girl has in her hand were the bane of my existence for awhile when I was working at the last bakery.

No, not for me. I do basic cooking, but I'm no foodie. Besides, when it comes to cooking, I approach it like a creative process. I like to come up with my own recipes, and my way of preparing it.

I just finished culinary school...so not exactly recreational cooking classes..but classes about cooking nonetheless! I loved it, and I wouldn't have gone the traditional after high school education route for anything! It was fun too, so I could only imagine how much fun the ones that you don't have to worry about a grade in could be!

No, but I'd love to take one. Something exotic maybe, like Thai or Vietnamese cooking. On location if possible. :innocent:

Haha, my best friend and I have been trying to convince my dad to give us a cooking "class" for awhile now! He is an amazing cook, makes such creative and delicious meals. He's a psychologist, but sometimes I think he should have been a gourmet chef!

i love taking cooking classes i just don't do it often, and the challenge also is that i don't care for meat cooking classes since im a veggie and most of the people that i go with aren't in to the vegetarian classes.

When i was a girl scout we did a field trip to a local cooking school, and to this day i remember the delicious homemade pasta and mini biscuits!!! I think of it every time i make pasta and wish mine was as good as i remember :-)

Not anything formal, but lots of kitchen sessions with my grandma and my dad have been very educational.
