Revisiting Travel Week

This Summer YumSugar and I went on a trip around the world, and we invited you along for the ride! We devoted entire days to discussing the delicious cuisines from 10 different countries around the globe. I've looked back at all of our coverage and picked out my favorite memories from our culinary journeys. Here they are for you to revisit! Starting in top left corner and moving clockwise:

How about you? Where did you enjoy traveling to this year?

I went to Berlin and Krakow. Polish beer and bread is amazing, and in Berlin I had Sudanese falafel with spicy peanut sauce - wonderful!

We went to Maui this year - our first time in Hawaii. Went to a luau - the food was okay. I thought I'd like it better but it wan't for me. I prefer a good ol' fashion BBQ. Poi was gross!

I went to the Navaho reservation in Chinle, AZ and the White Mountain Apache Reservation in Whiteriver, AZ in August, and I was introduced to various types of Native American cuisine. I especially loved the fry bread. It can be used in both savory and sweet recipes. Also, I learned a new method of cooking finfish...on a wooden plank soaked in saltwater, then roasted over an open fire. It was delicious!

I want to make that cheese bread...I'm surprised it doesn't have a ton of butter in it... It sort of uses the same technique as cream puffs
