Food 6 years I think it comes down to whether you're more of a sweet or a savory person. I am a savory person, so gravy will always be my choice before cranberry sauce. Akasha 6 years I'm a cranberry girl all the way. I think my grandmother's gravy grossed me out so badly that I don't like gravy on anything anymore. Last year there were so many people at my annual Can't Go Home for the Holidays Thanksgiving Dinner that we ran out of cranberries (bad planning on my part),and we ended up using the lingonberries that I had in the fridge from IKEA and it was a great substitute. I find cranberry sauce a little too bitter to eat with my Thanksgiving meal, but I do put it on my Thanksgiving sandwich! dootsie 6 years Here's the deal... as far as eating it "with" the turkey--as in, ON the turkey--it's gravy all the way. But as far as completing the turkey-eating experience?
