What Is This?

This tool is actually just a twist on a pretty common gadget. To find out what it is,

This is actually just a simple strawberry huller with a finger grip. It costs $4.98 and will allow you to quickly remove the leaves and stems from strawberries without the danger of a knife. The finger grip allows you just a bit more control.

Here's a picture of how a regular strawberry huller works:

I love gadgets, but I'm trying to declutter and get back to just the essentials. You can do almost anything with a good chef's knife, serrated blade and a pairing knife.

wow, I guessed completely wrong. Interesting, but probably a unitasker, as Alton would say.

I have one of those, too. It's called a knife.

This section is about food...it is a very common utensil. Just use it like tweezers to remove the stem!

hey all - I added a picture of a different kind of strawberry huller in action. This way you can see how it works. The edges are really sharp and they allow you to just poke the tips in and take off the hull. hope that helps!

I go strawberry picking every summer, and I have about half a dozen of these kicking around. They're wonderful little tools! A lot easier than trying to get the green tops off with a paring knife.

It looks like a little set of tongs... I'm confused as to how it actually works.
