What Did You Think of the Food Network's Big Night?

What Did You Think of the Food Network's Big Night?

Last night was a big one for Food Network. The most anticipated episode of Iron Chef America, with a secret ingredient of "national importance" and Michelle Obama, aired at 8, and the premiere of its much hyped Worst Cooks in Americafeaturing Anne Burrell — debuted at 10.

Did you catch either of the shows? I did! I thoroughly enjoyed Iron Chef America. After reading so much about Chef Comerford, it was nice to see her personality come to life on camera. And who couldn't love the combination of Mario Batali and Emeril Lagasse?

Worst Cooks in America, on the other hand, is kind of like the Jersey Shore of reality cooking competitions. While it may be entertaining, it's neither educational nor exciting, and on a Sunday night at 10, I'd rather catch up on my beauty sleep than watch this excruciating series. Still, it's so bad, it just might be a hit. What did you think?

Someone please tell me why Flay always wins. Sorry but i refuse to believe that he beat Lagisse & Batali, adding a "southwestern" flavor to everything has to taste like sh*t.

It was entertaining but didn't live up to the hype. I've seen many more entertaining IC's.

I didn't watch Iron Chef, only because I don't typically watch that show. I did really like Worst Cooks in America, though. I think it'll be fun to see if these people actually get better as the series goes on.

I loooooved the Iron Chef! I'm so obsessed with Michelle Obama bringing back the organic garden and Batalli/Lagassi were a hilarious combo!

Iron Chef was very bland IMHO, Worst Cooks was hilarious and I did enjoy it way more than IC. I think Mrs. Obama's outfit was adorable; if she'd had on some ankle socks she'd really rocked the 50's/60's look.To compare anything to Jersey Shore is a real slap in the face. At least Worst Cooks are trying to improve themselves.

It was lackluster. I switched over to Desperate Housewives at 8:00 and didn't look back.
