Mme-Hart 8 years I used to always pack my own lunch. My favourite (and still is today) a bit of low-fat cottage cheese, small salad and some water-packed tuna or salmon followed by some fruit. It's my favourite midday meal and seems to make me have enough energy to beat the 3pm blues that I used to get when I ate a lot of garbage! Marci 8 years I work from home and find that after breakfast, I usually just graze on half a banana, a few bites of leftover this or that, a piece of turkey wrapped in lettuce; I sort of have a few bites every couple of hours. But when I worked in an office, I always brought leftovers in for lunch. When I'd heat it in the microwave, everyone who was $15 for a sandwich would be swarming around my desk like 'mmmmmmmmmMMMMMMMMM..what IS that!' wynter 8 years I'm an at home mom. Usually, I'll have a turkey sandwich and a salad - a lot of days I'm too busy with my 4 year old that I don't eat until dinner though. I'm trying to break that. puddinpie 8 years I work from home, so I make my own lunch. Today I grilled a hangar steak and four Persian cucumbers, and an Earl Grey truffle and a basil blueberry truffle for dessert. Yesterday I grilled a lamb burger and made a quick curry mayonnaise, and ate it with the pain de campagne from one of my favourite bakeries. Dessert was black sesame mochi. 3Sweeties 8 years I usually get a cup of soup from the salad bar. I work in a pharmacy in a grocery store, and you'd think that I'd have a million thinbgs to choose from. It is actually the opposite, because it is always too busy to take more that a 15 min break, and its hard to find something that you can choose, wait in line to buy, and then eat in under 15 mins. All those choices, nothing to eat! KWM 8 years Lunch is usually delivered to my desk! bfly1133 8 years DesignRchic isn't is so nice to have someone to lean on at work? Friends, family, and significant others can't always understand what you go through, no matter how hard they try to. I wish I had a salad bar at work! At least I have a fridge that can't be taken away since we provide beverages and snacks for all of our guests and clients. I hope you get to keep your amenities Butrfly. :) Butrfly4404 8 years I'm lucky enough to have a refrigerator and microwaves, so I keep a couple Lean Cuisines or Smart Ones here. Then I bring in leftovers when I have them. I don't like lunch meat, so I don't bring sack lunches and I don't know what I would do if they got rid of my 'amenities' (its been threatened). Once, about every 4 or 5 months The Man will bring me lunch from somewhere, usually Panera because it reminds us of when we had money to eat out all the time. LizaToad 8 years i wish i could bring food from home... i usually spend about $14 for lunch every day! i know that's nuts LizaToad 8 years i've tried bringing my lunch from home, but i wake up too late and am too disorganized... i usually grab a sandwich at pret a manger and eat at my desk.... too much work to take time off! :( crispet1 8 years I bring my lunch. Usually a sandwich or leftovers. I go out once a month or so with a friend/coworker as a treat. Im pretty disciplined. Gotta save the moneys! DesignRchic 8 years I too usually bring food from home, and treat myself once or twice a week to the yummy salad bar here at work. bfly, me and my friend at work do the same for each other! bfly1133 8 years I usually bring something from home to eat. I get bored easily with lunches, so I change it up a lot. Sandwiches one week, salads another, etc. I love bringing left-overs! I do go out and eat with co-workers as well. When one of us is having a really stressful day, we treat each other to some time away from the office. GiggleSugar 8 years I like bringing my lunch because it's cheaper and there are no surprises for lunch, but sometimes a toasted Quiznos hits the spot.
