I have never understood why people put syrup on French toast? I mean do you put syrup on eggs? Not normally! So, why put it on something made with eggs? Our family has always put butter & salt & pepper on ours. It tastes great, you should try it! I think that a savoury food should remain such, & not put on a sugary sweet thing such as syrup! ENJOY!!!

I like my french toast savory not sweet- i dip the bread in beat up eggs with cilantro, tomatoes, cheese, chopped onion, salt and pepper. Then I frey it in olive oil or butter (not too much). I eat it with ketchup. Mmmm so good.
