What You Really Want to Know About The Pioneer Woman

What Would You Do If You Owned a Kitchen Nightmare?

On last night's episode of Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon Ramsay headed to the Olde Stone Mill and found Dean, a very difficult restaurant owner. Dean was totally unwilling to admit that his restaurant was a failure, the food was crappy, and the place was empty. When Ramsay suggested he change the menu completely, to a steakhouse, Dean was very hesitant and rude.

It made me wonder how I would feel if Ramsay came into a joint that I owned. Would it be hard for me to change everything to his liking? How about you?

I've never seen the show..but if I were not succeeding I would take pointers from Mr. Ramsey.. I'm with Alisha_Stiletto on this one...

As others have said, why do these people ask for help and then reject or fight the advice? Gordon's not there because he just happened to be in the area - they ASKED for his help! If you were in this much trouble, I'd think you'd be pretty open to the advice of renowned chef with many successful restaurants and TV shows!

I don't like that show, there's way too much yelling.

It's true if you ask for help you might as well take it, but I don't think people on shows like these realize how hard it can be sometimes to change. Having a complete stranger, credentials or no, criticize a project that's basically been my baby is admitting defeat, and that's definitely a difficult thing to do. I guess I'd do this kind of transformation if I had to, but otherwise... HELL NO!

i would be a little hesitant at first then go along...hello you asked for help, now take it.

I would definitely listen to his advice. Listen, but not necessarily obey...

I would take all of Gordon's advice and fix everything, then he might just have to submit to my "ideas"! lol

My BF got me hooked on this show and it is great. Gordon doesn't just randomly go into restaurants and change things, poeple ask for his help and he is there to turn around their places. He is awesome at what he does, so listen to the man!

I think, since these people probably had to apply to be on the show, they should be more willing to accept his ideas. And who could resist when he rides up on a motorbike!

Well at first I would probably be taken back because it is MINE and he's coming in and saying it's all wrong. But I'm sure after some thinking I would definatly come around and understand that he is the pro and he knows what he's talking about and OFFERING his help and input too.

I was watching that episode myself last night and thought that guy was a complete moron. Lets see - you have a mortgage to pay, all your business' overhead (salaries, etc) and you dont want to acknowledge that you're drowning? That place was empty. I agree, he needed to overhaul the whole thing. While Ramsay is essentially a baboon's ass, he *was* right.
