California's Artisan Cheese Festival is taking place in my hometown this weekend. The event features seminars, creamery tours, dinners, and a large walk-around tasting. It's a cheese lover's heaven! Although I enjoy all kinds of cheese, if I were to pick one current favorite, it would be Midnight Moon by Cypress Grove. It's an aged goat's milk cheese that's smooth, nutty, and complex. How about you? What's your most beloved cheese?

There are very few cheeses I don't like...not a fan of room temp swiss, but I'll eat it melted. I even love american "cheese". :) If I HAD to choose, my favorites would be pt. reyes blue, beemster, mount tam from cowgirl creamery, aged goudas and cheddars. Ugh! So many favorites!

So hard to decide! Actual gouda from Holland, aged as much as possible is very good. Also Irish cheddar.

Oooooh how I love cheese.... I love mozzarella, gouda, munster...white cheddar, brie.... So many others I am sure that I am missing! I don't like any type of bleu cheese though, like stilton or gorganzola.

Cambozola is like a German camembert/gorgonzola hybrid - soft with a rind, and with blue running through it. It's not as strong as a stilton, etc. I want to know what comte and scamorza are! (Guessing they're Italian - right, Italophile?) Agree with anon, cheese is best at room temp.

Agree with fuzzles! Cambozola makes me weak in the knees. A wedge of that with toast points, smoked black olives and a glass of red wine - that's where it's at! However, Boursin is my secret weapon when I make a cheese tray.

Hmm, I love swiss, and those mozzarella balls in water. Oh god, those are heavenly with basil and tomato on a cracker.
