But I also have recipe cards from family members and even a cookbook that my grandmother's church put together, including recipes from my great-grandparents and lots of good old favorites. I also check out A LOT of cookbooks from the library and LOVE going through them while watching tv or really whenever. I think borrowing them first is an awesome way to find out what I want to buy, some I will only use/try 1 or 2 recipes and never look at again, others usually include fundamentals that I always like to have on hand. And I'm a huge sucker for pictures, as my eyes guide my stomach. I don't like cookbooks that lack great pictures, with the exception of Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything, and The Joy of Cooking because I just think those are essentials! Foodblogs have become my newest addiction, right up there with my stacks of library cookbooks. ZergGirl 8 years These days mostly from websites, but I have several cookbooks from my parent's church and community with the awesome receipes that would always be brought to Sunday dinner on the ground. I still cook a lot of the dishes I made as a teenager. My Nanna taught me to cook, and it was all done by "eyeballin'".
