Hell's Kitchen is a big mess of a cooking show...

I HATE Hell's Kitchen, I'm disappointed with the quality of contestants year after year for Food Network Star, so the best of the bunch for a foodie like me is Top Chef. The one thing I don't like about all of these shows is that they all end up having the same "characters." You know, the "I'm not a chef, just a cook" person, the "I'm here to win, not make friends" jerk, and the "funny/sweet but talentless" goof. I wish it was just about the food, but drama = ratings, right? ;)

Although hell's kitchen is the most sensationalist of the bunch, I'll watch them all. I like "reality" shows which force contestants to be more than just a plotter/conniver and require actual talent or skill to be present. I don't care much about Ted, but that bald guy on TopChef who always visits em in the kitchen really lights my fires. Whew he's hot. ;)

LaLaLaurie, I'm with you. I've never watched a season of Top Chef from beginning to end (I've always started somewhere in the middle and caught up with re-runs), but Ted makes me want to watch every episode! He was always my favorite Queer Eye guy, next to Kyan. :)

Im stuck watching Hells Kitchen. Id rather watch Top Chef since its more of a quality show and they have fun challenges that showcase the contestants innovative culinary expertise, but I dont have cable!
