I love Hung, though. He is a great chef. He's hilarious, too. "Baked beans!? Baked beans!? Baked beans?!" sumnboutme 7 years i picked casey but it's definitely either her or hung... i haven't watched last night's episode yet so i'll leave it at that...i originally wanted either tre or cj to be my final two but they were sent home earlier than I expected... CaterpillarGirl 7 years As Anthony Bourdain put it on his blog "I was interested by the close questioning of Hung's motives and attitudes this week. There was a little bit of tape where Hung explains that "if this was a restaurant, I'd help out" -- which goes a long way, I hope to shutting up the whiners who seem to view this competition as a civics exam. This is a competition -- and Hung is a competitive guy. I thought the long overdue history lesson was illustrative of what makes the man tick. His family, it appears, escaped from post-war Vietnam -- as so many who preferred taking their chances in open boats to reeducation camp did.to say the least. Hung, was "born under a broiler" as we used to say about cooks from restaurant families. It is, indeed, in his blood. No one, in my experience, loves food as much as the Vietnamese. The enjoyment of the clean, fresh, sophisticated flavors of Vietnam are central to family life and working life. But so is work. And struggle. This is a country that has been at war for the better part of 600 years. One can only imagine the challenges Hung's family faced in getting here, setting up a new life, starting up a busines,s and raising a son who would go on to be a sous-chef at Guy Savoy." I have to agree with Anthony, I want Hung to win, because he is an amazing chef and because what it took to get him there. Gabriela14815884 7 years I definitely think Hung should win, just like Steven and Marcel from Seasons 1 & 2 he is arrogant and cocky but I think his food speaks for its self, out of the bunch he is the most refined and I think in the end it will be him. I like Casey and she has a lot of heart which I think you need to cook but I am just not sure she is good enough to win. MrsSchmitt 7 years Just not Hung, please! I agree about Tre and CJ, but I like Dale and Casey too. geohiker 7 years I loved Tre and CJ as well (a popular theme here!), and don't really care who wins (well, I really don't like Brian). I'm just happy there is less of the "drama" this season; I want to watch and learn some cooking ideas, not listen to people act like spoiled children. (I do watch it taped, with a remote control in my hand to fast forward past any scene where they are not cooking. Don't care, don't care - get to the kitchen!) DanielleMarie 7 years These chefs just don't seem as good, they sent home the really good people! My top pick to win was Tre, next was CJ...they were clearly the most talented chef's there. I voted for Casey, but right now I am kind of impartial since I don't think any of them truly deserve it, nobody really stands out. pinkcocoa 7 years I don't really care who wins at this point. The 3rd season contestants are not nearly the same calibre of chefs as the first 2 seasons. laurafox 7 years BRIAN!!! mrspiven 7 years i lost a lot of interest after tre and cj got kicked off, but i like dale and casey a lot and am rooting for one of them to win! nikkipez 7 years loved tre too :( Brandi13jrm 7 years Yup, I wanted Tre to win it all, I was so pissed that he messed up as Exec Chef twice during the restaurant challenge because I think he was the most talented. As much as Hung's arrogance bothers me , he IS the most talented of who's left. After seeing the episode at Le Cirque and the French Culinary school in NYC... well, Hung has skills for sure. I'd be cocky too... it is a competition after all. I highly doubt he's THAT arrogant when actually at work... if so, big deal. Casey is talented but dumb and I don't think she has enough skill... watching her cut an onion in that one quick fire was just painful. Dale, I think is okay... but definitely should NOT win... I think he's just managed to skate by into the final four. Plus he puts to much emphasis on his sexual preference, no one cares... I don't constantly need to hear that he likes boys, just make decent food please. Lastly, Brian... I had hope for him in the beginning but he has kinda fizzled... I think he needs to stick to seafood. Ultress 7 years Surprisingly, Casey has really grown on me. But again, I think it's the best of who's left, not the best of who they started out with. sandinmytoes 7 years omg sara, i have had my tom colicchio moments too. i think it's the eyes! as for the final 4... i pretty much feel the same as everyone else. tre should have been here, can't stand hung, rooting for casey! SaraSmile 7 years Casey!!! And maybe Dale. Or Brian, though I think he should have gone before Sara and CJ. Not Hung. No thanks. PS: I realized tonight while watching the repeats, I have a pretty significant crush on Tom Colicchio, like I want to hang out in his kitchen and have him cook me dinner and tell me things about life...so...anyway....(crickets).... rlveronica 7 years I want a woman to win! :) JessNess 7 years Im kind of liking Brian's sweater dithmer 7 years oy. ok i know i should be rooting for casey, being all feministic and like. but lord i cannot STAND her. her RIDICULOUS drama - "announcing" lia's vote off??? i'm sorry, but could she make it more about her? and the way she behaved in the team challenge with howie and joey, in my opinion, was gross. top chef lost my vote for a female chef when they knifed leanne. my heart is rooting for my big gay chef. go dale! Stacey-Cakes 7 years I'm rooting for Brian. I ate at the restuarant in San Diego where he is executive chef and it was definitely one of the best meals I have ever had. I wouldn't mind if Casey or Dale won, just as long as Hung doesn't win. amers230 7 years i too was rooting for Tre. Out of the four, i'd say either Casey or Dale. But really, as long as it's not Hung I'd be fine :) stefsprl 7 years Since my two faves (CJ and Tre) are gone, Casey is my top choice out of the final four... karisaamy 7 years Anyone but Hung - the other 3 are just ok in my mind. bealotus 7 years Tre was my favorite, but I am rooting for Casey. :) I can't stand Hung's arrogance. rothchild 7 years i liked Tre :(. anyone but brian! kiddylnd 7 years Oh! Speaking of CJ, I just say the episode where he got kicked off. Did anyone besides me notice how sad Padma actually seemed about it? She almost looked pained to have to tell him to pack his knives.
