Would You Eat These Chile Peppers?

When I was dining at El Pescador in Costa Rica, the waiter placed a jar on the table and said, "chilero." It was a container of small red chile peppers. I asked him how hot they were, and he simply replied, "yes hot." Always an adventurous eater, I decided to taste one to determine their spiciness. I tried to get my sister and dad to eat one with me, but both refused. How about you?

It is not even 10 a.m., and my mouth is literally watering at the sight of these.

No. I don't like hot, spicy foods. It's painful to me.

I am a weakling when it comes to heat. Mystery peppers are not my friend! :)

No way! I know better than to torment myself that much. I'm aware of the fact that small peppers=HOT peppers. No thanks! I'll stick with jalapenos...they have just enough heat for me.

Were they a garnish for one of your dishes? They look interesting, I'm always interested in new chilies.

I am a chili fiend, I put it in/on everything (much to the chagrin of my entire family who insist I'm ruining good food)- salads, bread, fruit, popcorn, soups, desserts *chili chocolate drool*, oats, pasta, pies- and I like it all, my favourites are crushed dried chillies, Scotch bonnet, Skhug, harissa and pickled green chili peppers...

I have been there and seen those peppers....I just tried some of the liquid....even in Costa Rica, the smaller the pepper the hotter...the liquid was enough for me to guzzle a beer!
