Giasbash6260 7 years The only thing I can eat at chinese food restaurants is the steamed foods: which I can make just as well as home! Italian food rocks, I LOVE THEIR FISH DISHES AND GARLIC & TOMATOES!!! sandinmytoes 7 years my mom was born in italy, so she makes awesome food BUT i will pick chinese food over italian any day! after being raised on pasta 3 times a week, i barely eat the stuff anymore. marthalilian126 7 years It really depends on my mood. Both are amazing comfort foods. jecho 8 years I find the question quite unfair and some of the reviewers ill informed, most of China encompasses a landmass roughly equivalent of the United States with climates and biomes of almost every type in the world. Accordingly, with each geographic region, there corresponds regional cuisines that are as diverse. Southern China, Yunnan province is quite close to Vietnam, Burma, and Thai and has had major influences in those areas on food. Sichuan and Hunan provinces have some of the most fiery, and stimulating dishes. Shandong, the region that started Imperial cuisine and indirectly influenced Taiwanese, Shanghai, and Cantonese cuisine. Xinjiang, which has the Islamic influence, with kabobs, and cumin lamb, etc. Thousands of thousands of recipes and dishes in each regional section. When people state that chinese restaurants are dirty and that unknown meat items are foisted upon the customers, that speaks volumes upon the person making those types of comments as being ignorant and prejudiced. As to claims that one is healthier than the other, that depends on the recipe, the cooking style and the desired flavor. One should not generalize as to overall healthfulness. katlovesclothes 8 years ITALIA!!!!! Mangia, Mangia! lms 8 years Out of two I would pick Italian. Italian has a better flavor to me. However, Chinese is healthier(less fattening). My favorite is Thai so if it was Thai or Italian ...Thai would have won. vmruby 8 years Chinese..... AMP 8 years I'm 100% italian and grew up on very authentic italian food. So much of it in fact, that I hardly eat it anymore. You'll never find me at an Italian restaurant and I can only imagine eating pasta about once every couple months. I prefer Mexican, Japanese or just easy American. Chinese tends to be too greasy and Italian too carb heavy. mizz_jennii 8 years Between the two....Chinese. But I'd pick Puerto Rican & Mexican cuisine over that ANY day! :) pinupsweetheart 8 years I am half italian baby! I have to pick the italian dish over anything! Zeinobia 8 years Italian all the way but a little bit of chinese is not bad sparkle5motion 8 years Japanese Oh Mikuni is my favorite&heats; nikkizubes 8 years love them both! but don't forget about mexican food too! absolut_lauren 8 years Chinese is really greasy and Italian is really heavy. I LOVE Indian food. GeikoSera 8 years Japanese all the way! radarkitty 8 years Italian! Although chinese is pretty darn yummy too, I am pretty picky about what I like. I just happen to like more italin stuff than chinese! :) ksbabe38 8 years italian <3 pizza & spaghetti jillybean 8 years I do like Chinese food, but I LOVE Italian, and honestly, all the stories I have heard about Chinese food have detered me from eating it often. My parents both got hepatitis from a Chinese restaurant - yuck! And when I hear that some places use dogs, cats or rodents in place of chicken, it definately skeeves me out - I mean, its pretty tough to tell what you are eating after its been chopped up, cooked and doused in sauce. Maria84 8 years Definitely Italian, Chinese food always gets me so thirsty after I eat it. lilv 8 years if i had to choose then italian but i like both figurine 8 years Real Chinese food. herjoiedevivre 8 years I love italian food- I could seriously eat pasta and bread all day, and I usually do! seafood pastas are great too....gosh you're making me crave my favorite restaurant now. I prefer thai over chinese though because I think the flavors are just more...unique. and I'm not so worried about whether I'm eating cat ( I know, a silly rumor lol) or MSG or anything. LaLaLaurie06 8 years not the Italian in that picture, though. that looks nasty. nutella2683 8 years Thai, Japanese, Indian!!! I would pick any of these over Chinese or Italian. Put any of these up against each other and I have a tough decision, lol.
