HELLO its still a living thing. That said I am now vegan because my son has eczema and the doctor said he will out grow it some day and my friend said stop eating dairy and I did and I swear by it. I feel the same way as Fashionista...You either are or aren´t - you cannot call yourself a vegetarian or vegan if you are still eating things that are not included in the definition of the term. I´m a vegetarian that eats organic eggs on occasion and cheese that is made without rennet. Dairy is totally out. In my case, it takes a lot of effort! I do it for the ecology, for the animals and it makes me feel like I haven´t contributed to any pain. So please be careful with the meaning of things! It bugs me to death when people don't like to know where there food comes from (or worse yet, don't like to eat chicken/fish whole because it still looks too much like an animal). Ugh! AMP 6 years No meat for me. I eat fish, eggs (organic, cage free, no antibiotics or hormones only) and cheese and yogurt. Threw my thoughts out there and then didn't review prior to posting! fashionista119 6 years I've been a Vegetarian for about 10 years. I'm Lacto-Ovo and I eat Honey. I am VERY picky about my dairy and egg sources - have to be from organic/from humanely raised animals (I get our eggs from some family friends or local farms) and the cheeses have to be made without rennet. Honey has to be Organic too. And I agree with Smacks. It's a huge commitment to be Vegetarian (regardless of your motivations) and I have always felt like people cheapen it by saying they are Vegetarian, but they "occasionally" eat chicken, meat, etc. You either are a Vegetarian or you aren't. If you occationally eat chicken, meat, etc., then you are someone who eats meat and poultry in moderation, you are not "kinda" a Vegetarian.
