Pickled green beans are a favorite at our house and extraordinarily easy to make yourself. When green beans are in season and on sale, we'll make quarts upon quarts of them. We'll also do pickled carrots and garlic. We want to do asparagus as well, but haven't been able to find it inexpensive enough to make jars and jars of it pickled. But an awesome appetizer is thinly sliced pastrami wrapped around a spear of pickled asparagus - YUMMY!
