It doesn't even make sense to me. If I saw someone eating with those, I'd have to get up and smack those out of that person's hands and replace it with a fork.

those look pretty weird. i was at a sushi restaurant once and my mom asked for a fork so they gave her chopsticks with a rubber band on one end (to keep them together) so she could practice....stores sell these "training" chopsticks now and my mom has finally learned how to use them.

Haha, that's like chopsticks w/ training wheels! Chopsticks aren't that hard to use, just takes practice, and eating alot w/ them ;)

These look pretty weird. I'd rather practice at home or in private until I can eat with regular chopsticks than use those.

Um ... if you can't use traditional chopsticks, why wouldn't you just use a fork instead of these ridiculous looking tripods? It's not like it'll help you blend in when everyone else is using chopsticks.
