Stop by a local market and pick up a small selection of cheese, charcuterie, and crackers. I love salami, but prosciutto, mortadella, and turkey are wonderful choices as well. Choose at least two types of cheese: one soft and spreadable (brie or goat cheese) and another hard and salty (cheddar or parmesan). When you arrive at the beach, set out the cheese, meat, and crackers first. That way you'll have something to nibble on while you heat up the grill.
