The 15 Best Fast-Food Releases From 2015

This year, McDonald's decided to give the people what they REALLY wanted: all-day breakfast, of course! You'll never have to race the clock to make it in time for that glorious Egg McMuffin again.

In pretty much the best news ever known to man, Taco Bell announced delivery this year. In other words, hangovers got a whole lot more manageable in 2015.

In other exciting news, McDonald's announced its test of sweet potato fries. While these aren't a nationwide item yet, we can all hope the testing goes so well that they become a menu staple for all locations.

Popular frozen-food brand Amy's opened a drive-thru with organic, non-GMO, vegetarian fast food in 2015, and it completely won us over. Serving delicious veggie burgers, vegan chocolate shakes, and way more, it's the kind of restaurant any healthy eater would seek out in place of traditional fast food.

You don't have to understand sports to appreciate free breakfast as a result of sports! During the World Series, some players stole some bases, and there was a partnership with Taco Bell . . . and voilà! Early birds across the country got free breakfast Crunchwrap Supremes.

Pizza and pigs in a blanket are two of life's greatest treasures, so the geniuses at Pizza Hut had the brilliant idea to combine the two this year. The best part is the hot-dog crust tastes just as good as it looks.

It looks gross, but it actually tastes OK. Burger King released a black, A1-filled burger bun for Halloween this year, and it was surprisingly a hit . . . well, except for the aftereffects.

Additional exciting AM news from Taco Bell was the release of Cinnabon coffee. Not too sweet and slightly creamy, this warm cup of caffeine turned out to be surprisingly delicious.

We're pretty sure the mozzarella sticks are going to be a hit. These gems will be available Spring 2016 — at three for a dollar!

It's been a really progressive year for pizza crust. On top on the hot-dog crust, Pizza Hut left us with no chill after we discovered its new breadstick crust. Trust us, it is pure garlicky, salty, herby perfection.

While the drive-thru is sufficient for any Taco Bell run, sometimes it's nice to sit down in a nice space and eat your Cheesy Gordita Crunch with friends, ya know? Taco Bell's new cantina restaurant offers just that — all the menu items you love (plus alcohol!) in a modern, restaurant-style space. The only drawback is it's only located in Chicago and San Francisco; here's to hoping for expansion in 2016.

OK, there's a chance you already knew about McDonald's secret menu, but thanks to a Reddit AMA with a UK manager, the secret got out for everyone. For example, there's the oddly intriguing "Land, Air, and Sea burger," aka a Quarter Pounder, McChicken, and Filet-O-Fish in one. Will 2016 be your year of adventurous McDonald's orders??

Fast food restaurants aren't the most vegetarian-friendly places (getting french fry-ed out is a real thing), so nonmeat eaters were understandably excited when Taco Bell became the first quick-service brand to offer meals certified by the American Vegetarian Association. From seven-layer burritos to power veggie bowls, the varied menu does not disappoint.

And finally, just when you thought Pizza Hut had outdone itself, it revealed the almight triple-treat box. That's two medium one-topping pizzas, a cookie cake, and breadsticks for just $20. Like the true gift it is, it comes packaged all together with a bow, making it the perfect present for pizza-lovers or the best option to order when you don't feel like cooking over the holidays.
