A Y-peeler! That would make things so much easier than the straight peeler I use. Those skins are tough suckers.

I think it's nearly impossible to use a peeler without breaking it. Last time I had to use a knife. I heard a tip that you can nuke the halved squash in the microwave for a minute and it will soften up the skin. Haven't tried it yet...but I will.
JUST DID THAT TONIGHT BUT I DIDN'T USE A VEGGIE PEELER - I USED A LARGE KNIFE! HA HA!
I've recently been converted to not rinsing my squash seeds before roasting them, the natural squash juice/slime keeps them more moist and adds a nice sweet coating.
