St. Louis Gooey Butter Cake

I've never been to Missouri, but I'm willing to make the trek to try their gooey butter cake, a St. Louis specialty. It's described as tasting both bready and pecan pie-like and typically served for breakfast. Dessert for breakfast? Count me in!

I have a simple recipe for this that I make. It so good, but super rich. In fact the girls at work love it so much, I bake them and sell them for special occasions. Love Gooey Butter Cake!!

ooh; I've never heard of this but I have family that loves in St. Louis - I'll have to ask them about this because it sounds amazing! another regional delight (not just in St. Louis but in that whole midwestern area) is toasted ravioli. they take regular ravioli, bread it, and then bake it. then you dip it marinara sauce!!!!!!! oh my goodness; it's amazing...
