Jessica Simpson learned the hard way why a girl should never ever walk over a grate in NYC while wearing stilettos after the ACE Awards last night. Luckily, she had plenty of people around to catch her, but the goofy look on her face is priceless and makes us reminisce abut her wacky antics from the Newlyweds days. One of the things we love about Jess is that she's able to laugh at herself and has a great spirit, and she recently talked to Extra about how excited she is to share her happiness on her upcoming album.

13that happ's to me but it's never on the grates...I walk on toes when I cross those or walk around them...she's not a city girl so she's not too hip to things like that but I love her face and I'm glad she didn't fall...The first time that happ to me, the shoe stayed in the ground and I was barefoot for a second (eeek!)...I live and work in NYC and I love this smelly town!
