Pretty soon, we won't be able to look to Seattle Grace for our weekly fix of ludicrous and heart-wrenching medical drama. As of next week, these actors here will no longer be reporting for duty in the OR. Grey's Anatomy stars took a break from filming their last scripted episode to stand with the picketers outside their set yesterday afternoon.

I don't understand why they are striking!?
Somebody can explain it to me, please!
1They are striking because they feel like they don't receive an adequate percentage of profits.
2To clarify, they are striking because they (and the actors and directors will be next) are not seeing any percentage of profits from Internet downloads. And they need to blaze this trail now since the Internet is going to continue to be competitive with television for revenue and ultimately a very profitable venue. The best example is The Office--they make all those Webisodes (that even won an Emmy), but the writers don't make any more money for the extra work they have to do. But NBC can sell ads within the episodes, so they make money they are not sharing. Hope that helps.
3thanks whatever! you explained it really well
4Whatever100, you explained it extremely well. I don't think many people understand exactly why they are doing this. I'm all for it! I wish I could help rally with them
5Ok, thanks:) I got it now.
