I wouldn't doubt it - she has always wished she was white --evidenced by the fact that she always has fake white-girl hair glued to her head.
That's stupid, wanting to have straight hair and using a weave doesn't mean you want to be white. Also there are other races that have straight hair. As for skin
bleaching I don't think so, I think she's just wearing about 40 pounds of makeup and the darker hair makes her look lighter as it is. She really needs to stop dressing up like a pageant queen
though she's look so much better if she just wore something simple.
it's interesting because in my african american studies class right now we are studying the power of images and how black people are portrayed and we've talked a lot
about this phenomenon: as black female celebrities become more and more famous, they are made to look more and more white! i understand that she is wearing a lot of makeup here but why is it so
much paler than her natural color??? i've also seen makeup ads lately with queen latifah where they've made her look so much "whiter" than she naturally is. it's obviously an attempt to make
these ladies more "acceptable" to the white community. it's real disturbing...
Very true HoneyLuv, but usually she tans to be a bit darker. She actually is very pale similar to her mother, Tina. But she does have an extreme amount of make-up on
here. Sheesh!
thanks JMichele, i am certainly no beyonce expert but i do love the girl and i think she has absolutely remarkable natural beauty which i wish wasn't masked by all this
makeup!!!! it's very frusterating!
i think she just wants to look different, like she ussualy does and don't forget that everybody want to have what they cannot have, for example whites want to be tanned
and the blacks want to be white...

she always wears a ton of makeup, but she does look more done up and "whiter" than usual. I wonder if it's a marketing ploy to increase her appeal in korea, where she
faces tough competition with ultra-successful K-Pop stars like Lee Hyori. in most parts of asia, especially in korea, very pale, porcelain skin is considered attractive, and whitening creams and
gels are a billion dollar industry.

darkntwisty- i have never heard of beyonce saying that she wished she was a white girl. and just because a woman where's a wig or hair extensions doesn't mean she wants
to be white. there are women of all races who where them. she is wearing a lot of makeup in this picture, but she is also a very fair skinned black women without the makeup. look at her mother,
look at the old school destiny's child videos from back in the day you will see.
she is a smart girl for doing her makeup this way, because by in large asian women find the "porcelain" makeup look- fresh and clean - along with bold lips beautiful.
don't pull this bs about if she is trying to be "white."
