Ben Affleck has landed in DC to begin researching his role in State of Play. The movie was originally a dream cast reunion of Brad Pitt and Edward Norton, but those guys have bailed and Ben has replaced Norton. Affleck's character is a politician on the rise, which seems like a dream role for the actor who has certainly never shied away from speaking his mind on political matters.
