We all know what a fabulous dad David Beckham is, so it's no surprise that the children of West Africa warmed right up to the soccer star while he was in Sierra Leone as a UNICEF ambassador over the weekend. When he wasn't showing off his soccer skills and being sweet with the kids, Becks headed to health clinics to learn more about why the country has such a high mortality rate for young children. David also spoke about the urgency of the issue, saying:
We can't turn a blind eye to the tens of thousands of young children who die every day in the developing world mostly from causes that are preventable.
