Posh and her reality show crew were all on hand as Victoria threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Mets vs. Dodgers game last night. She took the job very seriously and even played catch with Dodgers pitcher Derek Lowe ahead of time to prepare for her big moment.

2Posh is insane. I think it is acceptable every now and then to put away the heels.

4I love heels too but I know you shouldn't wear them to a ball park!! That's why they invented sneakers and flip flops, haha!!

6She always wears heels...She has "handlers" who are hired just to help her stand in her 5 inch stilettos. It's all a part of her public image...what keeps us talking.

8Eventhough I absolutely HATE those wedges (they remind me of the orthopedic shoes nurses wear) I cannot even imagine her wearing sneakers or flip flops.

15Well I think I would like the shoes better if they weren't white. For whatever reason they make me think of nurses shoes. Perhaps if they had been in blue with a white trim or if the wedge itself was white and the rest blue.

18People really need to stop being so critical. Maybe the shoes aren't the best choice for the field, but that doesn't make her - or the shoes - look any less fabulous. Critics are just envious. Not everyone has the courage or flair to pull off a pair of shoes like Victoria's .. and Mrs Beckham does it well. The shoes might not belong on the field, but they're a hot item to wear out shopping etc. They're real head-turners. Quirky shoes/clothes are uniquely designer. I don't know of any designer who made it big by selling plain & ordinary clothes/shoes. Criticize all you want, but "different" sets trends. "Ordinary" doesn't. Wedge sneakers get a thumbs-up from me
19Do you americans not see the funny side of this? I'm sure she's fully aware that they're not what you should be wearing whilst playing sport.. she's done it to take the piss out of herself... It's not like she is playing the sport seriously.. c'mon people, lighten up.
