At CasaSugar, our favorite spaces often incorporate a mix of modern and antique pieces. Even the sleekest contemporary room feels instantly warmer and less contrived when an antique is introduced. To welcome flea market season, we decided to capture inspiring flea market finds from markets around the country in our new series Flea Market Field Trip. With iPhones in hand, we, along with special guests and fellow antique enthusiasts, will be trolling some of our favorite weekend spots to share the best antique picks and tips all Summer long. Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages to see which flea market we'll hit up next, or follow us on Instagram to check out all our flea market finds under the hashtag #fleafieldtrip.
Last Sunday, I hit up the Alameda Point Antiques Faire to kick off the series. Located on an old naval air station, the former aircraft runway hosts over 800 antique dealer booths for the largest assortment of antiques and collectibles on the West Coast. Surrounded by panoramic views of the San Francisco bay and skyline, it's an ideal place to spend a sunny afternoon. Keep reading to see the antique treasures I uncovered!
