Angry San Francisco Painted Lady Homeowner Spraypaints Open Letter to Neighbors

A Spray-Painted Letter Stirs Up the Neighborhood in SF

Should you always love thy neighbor? An angry resident of one of the famed Painted Lady homes in San Francisco doesn't think so. He was recently frustrated with his neighbors' complaints that his historic pad's remodel could be releasing toxic paint into the air, so he took out his frustration by writing an open letter to them . . . on the side of his house . . . in spray paint. The jet-black writing reads:

"To the ignorant Neibor who Keeps CALLING the Building inspector oN ME ... F*** OFF! There is NO LEAD PAINT ON This Building. IT WAS STRIPED in 1983. Buy the BooK "HOW TO CREATE A PAINTED LADY + SEE FOR YOURSELF STOP Bothering SOMeONE WHO IS Trying to MAKe MY HOME NICER"

Yikes — that's gonna make for an awkward block party this year. Do you give this homeowner a thumbs-up for setting his neighbors straight in such a confrontational way? Or do you think he or she could have handled this differently? How would you deal with this issue if it were you? Have you had similar problems with your neighbors? Tell me by commenting below!
