Casa Quickie: Waterproof Your Roof

One of the big house-related tasks you should accomplish this Spring is assessing the state of your roof. In good weather, you — or a reliable, steady-footed helper — should check the roof for missing or damaged roofing tiles or shingles. If you're not confident doing so, hire a contractor or repairer to check out the possible damage. Repairing roof problems now will ensure that your Fall and Winter will be much cozier.

OMG... how apt! It's supposed to be summer here in Manila right now... but suddenly there's been some heavy rains the last few weeks, and we just recently found out that the gutter on our roof is leaking leading to damage on the ceiling and some electrical wires in our home studio. It also flooded the area where we segregate our recyclables. Talk about major hassle.

We really need to do this. There were several nasty windstorms this fall resulting in some minor damage.
