The Commission Project by Painter Paul Ferney

Cool Idea: The Commission Project

Have you ever had a painting commissioned? If so, you (and your wallet) know that it can be a pricey purchase. Fortunately, one artist is changing that. Just in time for the holidays, San Francisco-based impressionist painter Paul Ferney is offering a special deal on commissioned paintings, appropriately called The Commission Project. For a flat fee of $200, Ferney will create a five by seven-inch painting based on a photo you send, be it of your child, your favorite pair of shoes, your first car, or whatever you like, including your choice of frame and free shipping. If you'd like more than one subject in your painting (up to two max), the price will be $300. Ferney's not a machine, though, so there is a limit of 100 commissions available until they are sold out or until Nov. 14, whichever comes first.
