Cool Idea: Curtain Call

Clicking through Melbourne-based photographer James Braund's portfolio, I couldn't help but pause and stare at this photo. From the trio of red glass vases to the frames hung salon-style, there are so many lovely little vignettes in this room.

The one thing I adore the most is the necklaces hung from a pole like a curtain. It's a beautiful and organized way to display your baubles, and it looks like more of an art piece than any jewelry box I've seen. The only trouble is these necklaces might be hung too high for the vertically challenged. But I imagine this homeowner has such a vast collection that these aren't everyday gems.

We LOVED this DIY decorating idea and wrote an article on it (crediting you of course!). Excerpt: "We found this gem of an idea via Casasugar and while we agree it's a little high for easy access to your beautiful baubles, it's a perfectly workable idea closer to the ground..." Truthfully, I think this is fine for fun, costume jewelry. I can't imagine displaying fine jewelry this way. JMHO.

A minor note...instead of "vertically challenged" I prefer "space efficient."
