Keep reading for the step-by-step guide!

Materials:

  • Glass bottles
  • Duct tape
  • Spray paint
  • Taper or drip candles

Directions:

  1. Start by taping off sections of the bottles you don't want painted. For this particular project, we chose to paint some bottles completely and use the tape to create stripes of various sizes on others.
  2. Use metallic spray paint to coat each bottle. Let dry for 15 to 20 minutes, and repeat the process for two more coats. After the final coat, allow an hour of drying time. Slowly remove the tape.
  3. If you don't have access to drip candles (available online), a taper candle works too. You can also create the dripped wax "look" by slowly turning a burning candle, allowing the wax to freely fall onto the bottle. Continue this process until you achieve your desired look.
  4. Style the bottles to your liking!
