Do You Chop Your Own Firewood?

Now that the temperatures are dropping, it's time to get your house prepared for Winter. In addition to picking up rock salt for deicing your driveway, you'll also need firewood to keep your house warm! For some of you that means heading into the forest and chopping your own wood, while others might receive some from a friend or buy your supply from a grocery or hardware store. How will you be getting your firewood this year?

I am a city dweller. We have gas fireplaces. My mom has a wood burning fireplace, though, and they chop their own wood. Her boyfriend is the outdoorsy type, though, so it works out for them. Frankly, I'd be too afraid to burn down the house or smoke up the room. A little switch is good enough for me!
