Kimpossible 6 years I absolutely love this plant but don't have any real ones in my home due to our cat. While he's never eaten a plant in the house yet, I'd rather not take any chances. I do have some silk ones in my decorations though - white ones on the buffet, brown ones on the mantle, and nestled in our white tree. Oh and white and red ones in a holly/poinsettias garland hanging on the balcony. LoveSarah 6 years Since my cat loves to eat plants, I am too afraid to put anything out that he could get his paws on. aimeeb 6 years I was given one as a gift from miss emalove but normally I don't buy one. Txredd 6 years Same reasons as mentioned. Txredd 6 years Same reasons as mentioned. laurelm 6 years nope, for same reasons said, I am too worried about my dogs! MoonGoddess77 6 years I really am not a fan of this plant. Just isn't my taste so I avoid them.... especially since I have a dog. He's good about not eating my plants but still I don't like the liability. I tend to re-gift them if some well meaning sole gives me one. Stupidasscat 6 years I cant becasue I plan on keeping my animals and my cats love to chew on things. lawchick 6 years my mom gave me a beautiful red and white spotted one this year. I'm keeping it in the carport next to the steps. It hasn't suffered from cold weather since it's kind of protected, and adds some cheer to a boring area --- I couldn't bring it inside because my pets get into EVERYTHING OhFish 6 years I usually do, but I don't have a good puppy-proof spot this year. said8me 6 years ditto, ndchristine... though i have a cat. he LOVES to eat plants! total bummer, because poinsettias are so pretty. :( ndchristine 6 years I love them, but btw it's mild toxicity to animals, and with a puppy who eats anything, I don't buy them anymore.
