Do You Decorate Your Tree For Other Holidays?

I recently polled you all about how long you keep your Christmas decorations up, but it never occurred to me that anyone would keep their tree up year-round. That is, until my pal Molly sent over this link to Bronner's Christmas decorating tips which suggests decorating your artificial tree for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Halloween, etc. Could it be!? Do people really do this?

Well, I've done a little research, and I've found a Valentine's Day tree, a St. Patrick's Day tree, an Easter tree, a Fourth of July tree, and a Halloween tree! The world is a peculiar place, my friends. Do you keep up your artificial tree year-round, or decorate it for other holidays?

We have a small (about a foot and a half) artificial tree that sits on a table in our entrance-way that gets decorated for most holidays and other random things throughout the year like chili pepper lights. It is a lot of fun.

We decorate our outside trees with Easter eggs and bunnies like # 4 said but it can get annoying fixing them all the time because they get tangled from the wind. We also decorate our outside trees for Halloween too with homemade ghosts, bats and spiders, my kids really enjoy it!

We typically have a real tree as well as a few smaller artificial trees (more like medium-sized topiaries). We usually keep one of the smaller trees up past Christmas because we decorate it simply with white lights and old-fashioned glass ornaments, and it's referred to as "the winter tree."

I found out that my boss used the same (real) tree this year as he did last year! He kept it alive in his yard somehow. I thought that was SO cool. I think if I had a fake tree I might be tempted to keep it out all the time, there are a lot of possibilities for decorating!

I sometimes end up decorating our Christmas tree for my husband's birthday - January 25 - like with streamers and stuff just because I've been too lazy to take the Christmas decorations down yet, haha.

I've seen holiday trees that aren't necessarily pine trees. Especially Easter trees... I've seen quite a few homes that decorate trees with dangling Easter eggs.

When I lived in New Orleans I would decorate a Mardi Gras tree, but now that I live up north I don't.

We usually have a real tree, which does not keep well beyond two weeks around Christmas. This year I'm living on my own, so I inherited my grandmother's old artificial tree, but still won't decorate that for other holidays. We usually take in branches at Easter, put them in a vase and decorate with figurines of bunnies, eggs and chickens.
