Do You Have a Container Herb Garden?

One of the many things I coveted at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase house were the little herb gardens in this set of galvanized pots on a balcony off of the kitchen. With thyme, lavender, sage, basil, mint, and parsley, they have all the essentials for a yummy dinner — and the tall pots just look cool, too. It's one thing to grow herbs in your backyard, but having them so close to your kitchen in a container garden is oh-so convenient. Do you have an herb garden on a porch, balcony, or window box near your kitchen?

I grow large quantities in my regular garden, but I keep a strawberry pot close to the house for those times I just need a little bit quickly. It is pretty and it smells nice. I also grow different mints in pots since mint is so invasive. I love to put some in my ice water during the summer.
