Do You Have a Designated Reading Nook in Your Home?

Photographer Todd Selby recently shot the home of Stefano Tonchi, the editor of The New York Times's style glossy T Magazine, and I am completely envious of the little reading nook in his living room. With two big wing chairs and a small side table beside jam-packed, floor-to-ceiling, built-in bookshelves, it's the ideal place to cozy up with a good read. And, it doesn't hurt that he has fabulous contemporary artwork to stir his mind. I don't have a designated place like this to read in my home; I tend to float from the bedroom to the living room to my deck. I sure wouldn't mind it, though.

We had an extra room that we wanted to make into a library but it was full of boxes and stuff we didn't have any other place for. We finally got that all sorted this weekend and we now have a library!! I am so excited to have a dedicated room for all my books. We even have a really comfy leather couch.

Yes, I do. It's one of my favorite areas in our home.

I have the perfect area, but no money for a comfy chair right now. When the econ. gets better, I'll have my reading nook.. even if it's just to look thru magazines!

Yes, we have a library actually and I am currently in the process of re-decorating. These chairs don't look very comfy to me though. I have a big over stuffed leather chair with a large ottoman and feather pillow with a soft blanket. I can't wait till I have finished my project. Need to finish painting, re-hang the chandelier, and get the art back on the walls!
