Some might call them an eyesore, but to many, exposed ceiling beams are a thing of beauty! I certainly fall into the latter category, but if you were to peg them up against ornate Victorian crown moldings, I can't say it would be an easy choice. In this kitchen shot by photographer Mark Williams, I think the beams, especially the way they're painted, make the room, bringing a strong graphic element to the earthy space. The lines of the beams lend the room a feeling of great depth, as well as additional height. Do you have exposed beams in your home? If so, please post photos in the Su Casa group!
