Do You Have an Open Plan Kitchen?

I grew up in a house with an open plan kitchen, where the cooking and the dining took place in the same room. I loved it! Everyone tends to hover in the kitchen at parties and every day anyway, so it makes sense to have them in one place. Of course, it's less formal, but let's face it: my name might as well be Casual Cathy. Do you have one?

Open plan :) There is also a separate formal dining area for holiday dinners and such, but it's only used for that.

Actually it's one big room with the kitchen, the dining table and the living room all in one. I love that I can talk to my guests sitting on the couch while I make them coffee.
