Do You Keep a Decorating Idea File?

For years, I've stored my design ideas in a folder full of magazine pages, sketches, notes, and photos, so I can easily access them next time I want to redecorate. Do you keep a file or diary with your inspirations?

Definitely and it's growing by the minute. All of the looks couldn't possibly be used in one house. I need more than one house to decorate.

I need to start one. Does anyone know of a website with organizational ideas? Or should I just make a folder for each room and throw all my pictures in it? Hmmm. Any suggestions? I'd rather keep it on my computer so I can cross-reference things that aren't room specific but I'd never scan all the hard-copy things I like!

No, but I can see how it would be a good idea.

No but I should. I'm always spotting things I like in magazines and catalogues, and of course then I forget where I saw them :?

I do, one file for each room. I also have like a foam core poster board for each room in the house that I want to "redo" and I put little velcro circles all over it and then velcro my ideas to it (fabrics, photos of furniture that I want, paint samples, etc.) and then I can change them out if I find something I like better before that room gets done.
