Do You Own a Recliner?

I love this scene in Failure to Launch where Matthew McConaughey's parents are trying out recliners (La-Z-Boys, Barcaloungers, what-have-you). It's so American of them: the epitome of both bachelor pads and retirement homes. In most cases, they're an eyesore, but I've seen some nicely upholstered ones that are A-OK in my book. They're oh-so comfortable; I definitely see the attraction.Source

Parts of my couch are recliners. Does that count?

I'm not opposed to them, but I don't think it would ever occur to me to buy one. I don't have the space right now, anyway. :)

When I move into a house with a basement, I look forward to adding a la-z-boy.

Yes, we have a La-Z-Boy. It's a rocking chair that can recline. It's incredibly comfortable.

No. I don't think I ever will.

I love the recliner in our family room (not in our formal living room). My husband is always sitting there when we are both home, but as soon as vacates his seat, I take it. It's so comfortable!

I have a nice antiqued leather recliner that is part of our living room set.

We moved on to push backs that look like old wingback chairs.
