Do You Sing and Talk to Your Plants?

Do You Entertain Your Plants?

Have you ever whispered sweet nothings into the ear . . . of a plant? If you're sheepishly nodding your head, you shan't be shy because chances are, you're not alone. While studies have shown that entertaining growing shrubs with music proves to liven their roots, it seems talking to them also does the trick. Our little green buds may not have a heart or blood pumping through their veins, but perhaps chlorophyll and bulbs need the same TLC that a newborn baby gets.

Time to 'fess up — do you entertain your plants or do you let them grow on their own?

I do! I fancy myself RAISING plants and dwarf trees. :) Also, the fact that I purchased them when they were baby plants from A NURSERY feeds into that idea. :) I am especially chatty with my ornamental, flowering perennials. I tell them how pretty they are, and I thank them for the flowers they're presenting me (as I LOVE flowers). In my neighborhood, I come across as the crazy plant lady. LOL

Not anymore, but I totally thought I had a psychic connection to my plants when I was a kid.

Usually only in their early stages of life. I tell them silly things about wanting them to grow and how they're getting so big. And then I tell them that I'm going to eat them! Although my boyfriend always says thats bad energy to give to the plants. haha

Kind of. If I had my own private garden, I definitely would! Since my little flowerbed is in front of my (very nosey) neighbor's window, I don't really talk to them as much as I'd like! So yeah, I basically stick to water and soil. I definitely do believe that plants can sense your energy, though.
