Do You Sleep Outside?

When I was little, my whole family would sleep out on the deck on hot Summer nights. Not only was it fun, but it also kept us from overheating inside the house. As an adult, I've tried to recreate this family tradition by camping out in the backyard, and even spending a night or two in the hammock. Do you ever sleep outside on hot Summer nights?

I'm a city girl. I hate to sleep anywhere that is not my bed.

No WAY! you must not be talking about Florida, there are way to many bugs here for me to ever sleep out on a porch, screened or not!

I live by water, so the mosquitoes are pretty bad. Though, if I had more privacy, and a comfy hammock or cabana I'd definitely try!

If I had a mosquito-net setup for my hammock, I'd totally sleep in it. As is, I take afternoon naps there when I can. :)

as a kid, my grandmother had a screened in porch with a large bench (futon like) on each end and I slept out there a lot. I haven't done that is quite some time but I do miss it especially after the rain!!

Does a enclosed balcony count? Sometimes when I visit family in Jamaica I end up sleeping on the bench in My aunt's room on her balcony. Sounds kinda funny but there's plenty of pillows so it's not that bad. lol.

I would if we had a screened porch.

Mosquitoes are way too bad to sleep outside. I would be eaten alive if I slept outside, especially in summer!
